Wir waren für ein Wochenende im Dezember 2009 in Amsterdam. In diesem schönen und stilvoll eingerichteten Grachtenhaus im Untergeschoss zu wohnen, war ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, vor allem durch die guten Tipps von Carolina. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und die Umgebung ruhig und sehr idyllisch. We think it is fair to say that this stay was as close as it gets to experiencing "living in the heart of Amsterdam".Our stay at Singel 96 was pleasant from the beginning, starting with a warm welcome and little tour by the very polite hostess.The truly unique location (right at the canal, close to all main attractions, public transportation, close to Central Station and in a real and grotesque "grachtenpand") in combination with all the comfort the apartment offers made this stay a real pleasure:

• The large living-/bedroom is clean and well furnished
• There is a wide range of up-to-date brochures for all must-see's, must-go's and must-eat's
• The apartment has free wifi
• The bed is of the type you wish you had at home... big, clean and soft (one side a bit harder, especially for the male)
• The bathroom is a ballroom with a bathtub that can easily fit 2 people (tested and okayed!)
• The kitchen offers everything you need to cook for a small dinner party (unfortunately we only used it for morning tea)
• Double curtains block the light and muffle the sounds of the street perfectly (we slept like a baby)
• The hostess and her husband are kind and had answers to all our questions.

This might sound like picture perfect, but we really had nothing to complain about... We look forward to returning to Singel 96!

Perfecte locatie, dicht bij het station en het centrum.

Vriendelijk onthaal.

Keurige kamer, schoon en netjes , met een groot zacht bed.  Zeer ruime badkamer.

 

 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you, the apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Singel 96 is a great location and the local area is very beautiful and vibrant.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.  Your hospitality was tremendous and the apartment lovely -- I've stayed in various hotels in Amsterdam but this really was the most perfect way to spend time in the city.  I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Singel 96 for a weekend in October. The location is exceptional (about the best spot you can be in, as far as I'm concerned) and the owners are likewise exceptionally nice people who have great tips on what to do in the city.

Accomodation is tasteful and there's plenty of room.

We hebben samen met onze dochters genoten van een aantal dagen bij jullie op de Singel. En ook wij hebben jullie prettige flexibiliteit ervaren.

De tips over eetadresjes en het meedenken m.b.t. de marathon waren welkom.

Wat wij misten waren wat pannetjes om in te koken, en omdat wij met z'n vieren waren hebben wij ook goed kennis kunnen maken met het "lekje" bij de douchecabine.

Maaaaar dat mocht de pret niet drukken wij hebben het erg leuk gehad in een hele leuke sfeer. Wie weet tot ziens.

Nogmaals enorm bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid en flexibiliteit op 3 oktober jl. Het was voor mij i.i.g. een onvergetelijke avond, nacht en ochtend bij jullie in A'dam.

Jullie appartement is echt geweldig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vooral de aparte ingang is ideeal... Nu alleen nog het kleine lek in de douche fixen  en het is perfect... Je aanrader (ontbijtje/lunch op de Herengracht) was inderdaad top!!!

My experience at Singel 96 was good.  The location is very close to downtown Amsterdam and many main tourist areas are within 5 minutes walk.

A nice Dutch couple operates the bed and breakfast.  The room is very big compared to most European hotel rooms.  The bathroom is almost very big and has a great shower and bath for relaxing after long days of walking around Amsterdam.

I recommend Singel 96 to experienced tourists looking for a good deal.
