From 12 July 2010 we stayed for a week in this very good flexible accomodation and enjoyed a very relaxing stress free holiday. Singel 96 is based in an excellent area within easy walk of wonderful restaurants and all areas. Carolina is a wonderful host who always made sure that we were well looked after, providing a valuable insight into the best areas to explore around Amsterdam. we loved our stay in singel 96! the location was so central and the apartment spacious with lots of personal touches. we loved looking out to the beautiful canal. the apartment was the perfect option for our us and our children.

Visiting Single 96 for the first time on a short business trip - but fell in love with the apartment. So much character and warmth. the personal touches that made it feel so homely. The quaint little front door - I smiled every time we had to use it - I loved it! The central location gave us the option to go into beautiful streets for cafe's, restaurants and walks, peaceful and romantic - but also walk in the opposite direction to discover a more lively area & the 'red light district' which was definitely interesting to walk through! Gorgeous local markets and such friendly people. We were here on business and unfortunately had to leave early due to the 'Ash Cloud' and flight disruption but we will definitely be booking to come back for a personal holiday, as the apartment was just perfect. Carolina - your hospitality was wonderful, so helpful in every little detail. No wonder so many people want to visit you. Thank you again so much for a wonderful stay. Petit appartement très sympa et très confortable situé à deux pas de la gare centrale le long d'un canal très paisible et très pittoresque. Une salle de bain hollywoodienne et un lit fantastique qui ne laisse à votre dos aucun mauvais souvenir au réveil (à ne pas négliger surtout après avoir arpenté les rues et canaux d'Amsterdam de long en large toute une journée!!) Carolina, la proprio, nous a réservé un accueil super chaleureux à l'arrivée et nous a fourni un tas d'informations et de conseils bien utiles. Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliale et n'hésitons pas une minute à recommender ce super appartement à tous ceux qui souhaiteraient venir passer quelques jours à Amsterdam. Superbe accueil, je recommande cet endroit très agréable situé au centre ville pas besoin de voiture..... Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Singel96. The apartment is big and private. We love the comfy bed and nice big bathroom. My one year old son was sick and Carolina was very helpful in getting us what we need. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!

a perfect place to stay in a beautiful city. three generations of us felt very much at home. I staid for a weekend with my mother an my one jear old daughter at the singelgracht 96. we'd come again every time!!

We had the most lovely time in this cozy and well appointed apartment. So nice to have so much room to enjoy. The bathroom was really special, better than our master at home. We can't thank you enough Carolina for the warm welcome and all of you help with recommendations for restaurants and sites. We really love visiting Amsterdam, will continue to return, and we will hope that your place is available next time. The location is excellent, and we feel as if we have made new friends. Hi! I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful, quaint B&B about two weeks ago, for one night. The owners are friends of mine, so it was an extra-special visit. I loved being there and having such a special room all to myself! It is spacious, very comfortable, and there is a pc I could use. There is also a spacious bathroom with all you need, including a kitchen with all appliances you need to cook for yourself may you decide to stay in. The place is very stylishly decorated and has an intalian hint to it. If you are looking for a B&B which is near central station, has parking available outside your door and is near the Jordan (I recommend going through the 9 Streets for the variety of Amsterdam boutiques), then I highly recommend this place. You will find it a peaceful place in the heart of the city!

Hi Carolina and Ernst, Thank you so much for 6 days in your beautiful flat. Even for norwegians, Amsterdam was very cold this time of year. However, walking the streets of your special and interessting city for hours, there's always a warm bar or restaurant around the corner... And what's more, a big tub to fill up when we came back. - Not to mention the bed - I miss it! So untill we come back, all the best for your family:)

We had 2 lovely days with a very nice and warm welcome. Bed & Apartment is very cosy and offers all the comfort. It is centrally located for all the nice spots in Amsterdam; Jordaan, the 9 streets,canals, bars and restaurants. We will certainly do recommand this place to our friends. A great place to relax and to enjoy a lovely weekend in the bustling heart of Amsterdam. We loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy, homely apartment with Carolina and Ernst as great hosts. Ideal location for the railway station, shops, Dam square and many other attractions. If you are looking to stay in a quieter area of the town then this is perfect. We shall definitely be returning!

I have been to Amsterdam more than half a dozen times and out of all the places I have stayed this is by far the absolute best. My wife and I will only be staying with Carolina on all of our return trips. Not only is the place quite large but it is comfortable, has a private entrance and beautiful bathtub (which was used extensively) and could not be better located. A truly awesome place to stay and I could not recommend it more.

Wir waren für ein Wochenende im Dezember 2009 in Amsterdam. In diesem schönen und stilvoll eingerichteten Grachtenhaus im Untergeschoss zu wohnen, war ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, vor allem durch die guten Tipps von Carolina. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und die Umgebung ruhig und sehr idyllisch. We think it is fair to say that this stay was as close as it gets to experiencing "living in the heart of Amsterdam".Our stay at Singel 96 was pleasant from the beginning, starting with a warm welcome and little tour by the very polite hostess.The truly unique location (right at the canal, close to all main attractions, public transportation, close to Central Station and in a real and grotesque "grachtenpand") in combination with all the comfort the apartment offers made this stay a real pleasure:

• The large living-/bedroom is clean and well furnished
• There is a wide range of up-to-date brochures for all must-see's, must-go's and must-eat's
• The apartment has free wifi
• The bed is of the type you wish you had at home... big, clean and soft (one side a bit harder, especially for the male)
• The bathroom is a ballroom with a bathtub that can easily fit 2 people (tested and okayed!)
• The kitchen offers everything you need to cook for a small dinner party (unfortunately we only used it for morning tea)
• Double curtains block the light and muffle the sounds of the street perfectly (we slept like a baby)
• The hostess and her husband are kind and had answers to all our questions.

This might sound like picture perfect, but we really had nothing to complain about... We look forward to returning to Singel 96!
